A Day At The Snow

The cyclonic winds dancing through the mountains
Makes the snow twirl like a ballerina,
I am isolated in my snow globe,
Distracted, disoriented, delighted
Sailing down the wing of an angel in a disconcerting flurry of white
The perpetual insanity fills my soul with vigour
Enveloped in a heavenly wonderment,
I feel a satanic foreboding,
This is a snapshot, a moment to be treasured,
Emotions tumbling like two galaxies colliding
An explosion of feeling
I am insignificant in the vast natural world
I stand in awe of this alien environment
Mother Nature takes control of my life
I feel a pot pourri of emotions
Isolation, Loneliness, Trepidation
Ancestral vulnerability possesses me.
I emerge from my reverie
Hurtling towards terminal velocity
My heart was racing as fast as my skis
Avoiding Poseidon’s pitfalls,
Bursts of sunlight giving glimpses of hope
I feel a growing apprehension pursued by fate
And the anticipation of disaster was dawning upon me,
Cold shivers run down my spine, unprotected by my five layers
Unburdened as I glide from obscurity,
A man-made me, confronted technology,
A victorious yoip, a sublime satisfaction.
