The stunning tall trees
All in unique hues of green
Drooping, sad green leaves.
A butterfly's wings
Brilliant blues tinged with black
Flutter in the wind.
The flowing rivers
That glisten an emerald green
Reflect the sunlight.
The humid,hot air
It sits, and hangs around me
Clinging to my skin.
Spiralling rain drops
They fall from the canopy
Hitting me gently.
The wildlife here
They fill the silence with noise
And my mind with fear.
This wonderful place
This is the Daintree.
