Memory

I am at an old age
At my dying stage

But I have my memory
Of my lost family

The whisper's only faint
A picture my mind will paint

With colours dim and dark
But within this painting, there's a golden spark

That I will see my family yet
But they've forgotten me, I bet

As the terrible pain grows
Even my dear nurse knows

That my family is not near
And that they won't come here

So I'll miss them as I die
Wishing I could say good-bye
