I sit here at the end of the day,
With wind softly pressing against my skin,
Cold sand creeping in between my fingers and toes.
As the scent of salt water lingers in the air,
I can hear swishing of waves as they are gently lurking their way up the sand,
Only to be pulled back into open arms of the mysterious ocean again and again.
Everything is so calm and still as I say goodbye to any troubles of today,
While the sun slowly begins to hide behind the waves.
For tomorrow, a new beam of light will hit this earth
And we can say hello to the beginning of a new day and new troubles,
Only to be forgotten at the end of tomorrow.
