Les Saisons (The Seasons)

Seeds burst full of life, awaken from thy sleep,
Shoot up out from the soil, sprout out of the deep.
Young birds arise and spread their wing,
All life starts at the bloom of spring.
Trees grow to enormous heights, flowers cover their body,
Bees come to pollinate the flower, sing your buzzing melody.
Leaves stay vibrant and green, as the weather gets warmer,
We all grow during the period of summer.
Fruit forms from the flower, red it may go,
Mushrooms rise up from the ground, in sun it shall glow.
Nuts drop off the branch, crack on the floor,
Harvest time comes again, in the time of fall.
Leaves dance to the ground, their colour of red,
Animals sleep in their nest, the warmth of their bed.
Naked trees stand so still, deep into a slumber,
Snow covers all the land, we rest in winter.
