Dark clouds in the sky
The smell of rain in the air
The boom of thunder
And lightning everywhere.
It starts to rain
The patter on the roof
When will it stop?
We have no proof.
The ground is wet
So is everything that is surrounding
We don’t want the rain to stop
I hope it keeps on pounding.
Rain makes me happy
I like the smell
Will it come back?
Only time can tell.
