Kiss Me Goodnight

Kiss Me Goodnight

Watching the leaves flutter by,
I close my eyes and listen to the whistle of the wind,
And as the cool breeze sweeps by, kissing my face,
My nose tingles smelling the scent it carries.

Closing my eyes I find myself lying in a field of daisies,
Staring up at the sun-bathed sky,
And as the heavenly body starts to set,
The sky is struck with a splash of the warmest colours of the rainbow.

And watching the first cluster of stars shine through the mist,
The sun kisses me goodnight.
