All I could think about was the throbbing in my head. It was pounding worse than a bad marching band. I could see someone bending over me. I could see their mouth moving but I couldn’t make out what they were saying, it was all a blur. A whirlwind of colours and sounds passed by as I felt myself being picked up. I could see the inside of my living room, although it didn’t look like my living room anymore.
Paper and cups littered the floor; there was food on the wall. But that didn’t bother me; I could clean it up before Mum and Dad got home.
I was sat down as someone said, “Are you alright, Anna?”
I was suddenly overcome with laughter and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t stop!
“She’s drunk!!”
“Nah, mate, she’s completely off her face!”
“How could she do something like that, she’s supposed to be the responsible one!”
I was still laughing. Then suddenly it all went black.
I woke up. I looked around and a mixture of anger, fear and horror passed through me. The was food on the floor, and the kitchen table was in the pool. Beer bottles lined the couch and I even saw a stray pair of underwear.
As I walked into kitchen I wondered if this could get any worse. As I stood in the doorway I realized it could. There was big writing on the wall, spray painted writing. It was the symbol of one of the gangs at school. I wondered how it got there, as no-one but my friends knew about the party.
There was the unmistakable sound of tires on gravel in the driveway. I was scared but then I was suddenly overcome with that uncontrollable giggling again.
