Superman flies around and ‘round
When you try it, you fall to the ground
When friendships are unsteady and broken
They don’t always get fixed, rather stay unspoken
High School stories, so fun and real,
Don’t do you best, you’ll discover the real deal
Singers, beautiful and born with sheen,
The hopeful applicant was never seen
Thin and pretty, she struts the catwalk
The chubby wannabe is simply told not to talk
The confident pupil who hands in it’s best work
Comes back with a fail, and is treated like dirt
Reality is not always so harsh and so cruel
But reality may surprise you, make you not-so-cool
So the one you look up to, can you be them, can you win?
Or is it just a conspiracy, to get you reeled in.
