Death, oh Death,
Why do you creep, why do you creep so quietly?
Time, oh Time,
Why do you abandon, why do you abandon our bond of trust?
Hide, oh Hide,
Why didn’t you cover, why didn’t you cover him with your invincible sheet of invisibility?
Consequence, oh Consequence,
Why do you hurt, why do you hurt those who earnestly loved him?
Grief, oh Grief,
Why do you ache, why do you ache our minds, our hearts, and our souls?
Tears, oh Tears,
Why do you fall, why do you fall hoping it will change the unchangeable?
God, oh God,
Where were you, where were you when he needed to escape Death’s clinging hands?
Prayer, oh Prayer,
Why did you not reach, why did you not approach my God?
Tragedy, oh Tragedy,
Why him?
Why him?
