A man pats his dog in thunder so great,
The cat purring lying in front of the fire,
A clash of lightening struck so bright, something was not right.
The cattle suffer in pain,
The brumbies run,
The man stands out in the rain,
A face so pale, feet so cold,
The sounds are so old.
The winds did roar,
And hail clattered on the old roof,
It was nature’s proof,
The mans spirit soared.
The banging of the windows, rattling of the tin,
The end of a drought sounds near.
