My name is Mary-Jane,
I live down Buckingham lane,
I love billy my little dog,
who splashes all day in the bog,
much to my delight,
though to my mum a fright,
I get covered in mud from head to toe,
so I get sent to the bath and off I go
You see I think billy gets cold at night,
If he was allowed inside it would be alright,
but my mother is very strict and would never let me you see
but it might be alright if she did not see me,
so that night Billy came into my room,
but then I saw my mother loom,
This teaches me to take advice from my mother and avoid doom
