Tears Of Understanding

The sky, up above, turns a shade of grey,
The ground, down below, slowly fades away,
And as you look up, the light is getting bright,
But I know, you’ll keep fighting, with all of your might.
As time, goes by, you disintegrate in front of my eyes,
As days, pass by, I’ll come to realise,
That when, you look up, the light is getting bright,
And that, one day, you’ll vanish from my sight.
When that, day comes, I’ll know right there and then,
That you, were a fighter, until the very end,
And when, you looked up, the light was fully bright,
And that, you had no choice, but to surrender your fight.
For life, holds its curve balls, that we learn to swerve,
And having, one taken from us, is a swerve we quickly learn.
But though, they are not here, their spirit never fades away,
For they live, inside our hearts, every, single, day.
