Peace On The Battle Ground

There’s a small child left alone in a camp,
While we all look away,
We sit at home with all the comforts,
While bullets are heading his way.
They keep telling us everything’s alright,
They say not to worry because we’ll be safe in bed tonight,
But how can we sleep when something here is clearly wrong,
Thousands of miles across the ocean - and you can still hear their mournful
song.
They say war is necessary,
They say we need it to make this world work,
But if we can feed a starving world,
Avoiding all death and destruction,
We all win, in one way or another.
Imagine if everyone could see the truth,
And the others would swallow their pride,
That would be the day - when nobody would die.
