As you wake up in the morning
The sun starts yawning
You can’t wait to start your day
So you can go out to play.
You feel the wind on your face
You put on a rain-jacket just in case
As you look at the sun, it hurts your eye
But then you see raindrops fall from the sky.
You come back inside feeling sad
You then see your dog, a recent present from dad
His name is Shane
As you play with him, you forget the rain.
The day has flown away
It’s time to sleep and wake up another day
A shooting star zips across the sky, so make a wish
The sun is fast asleep, shhh…
