Death By Knife

You try to ease the pain,
The blade is your outlet
You try to shield me from your pain,
But it’s as though you’re using me as your shield,
Against the knife, against the pain
The pain is tearing me in two,
I feel your pain as if it is my own,
I feel the knife against your skin,
I feel it cutting deep, too deep
The blood seeps from my black heart,
My soul is leaving me, leaving my empty shell.
I would die for you, and now I am.
