I sat and watched one morning,
As the sun rose over the land.
Oh, how the bright sun sparkled,
Oh how it looked so grand.

I sat and watched one evening,
While stars fell from heaven above.
How couldn't I be dreaming,
Oh this scenery I love.

I sat and watched one morning,
But still the sun wouldn't rise.
Soon thunder rumbled from the heavens,
Oh this morning I despise.

I sat and watched one evening,
The water rising fast.
I knew this would result in floods,
Oh what a land of contrast.
