Farewell My Furry Friend!

I stand upon my balcony at night my
eyes full of tears
The air is cold against my skin
It’s now time to face my fears
It all came so fast, you were suddenly facing death
You didn’t show you were sick
But as I held you in my arms, you took your final breath
As I release your ashes they blow up high
Tears stain my cheeks
It’s your time to fly
Goodbye my faithful companion you were loyal from the start
But fear not my darling you will forever be in my heart
