One Night Stand

You caught me staring from across the room,
all it took was a spark to ignite the flame.
Temptation turned it to a raging inferno
that set us both aflame with passion.
Sparks flew from my fingertips as I
caressed the cheek of a goddess.
Electricity filled the air as two
hearts melted and melded in a
synchronized dance to the song of lust.
The lights turned off. Yet we still danced.
You gaze into my soul and smile; as I
smile back you sink into the darkness
never to be mine. The song always
ends with a broken heart. All that
is left is a lonely dance floor...
At least until the next song plays.
