An old man under a tree,
lying in the shade.
Blue sky is all he sees,
Until the light begins to fade.
A Cool breeze to calm the heart,
The grass is his pillow.
To him the night is art,
Under this old willow.
The stars descend - fireflies at play,
Across the cool blue skies.
They're enthralled and wish to stay,
Until the night dies.
Away from modern life,
Nature is all can see.
The Earth's splendor unspoiled by strife,
Under this old willow tree.
