Mirror, mirror on the floor
Cracked and broken was the girl that saw
Heavy bags under her eyes
Rustled, messy hair, her disguise.
Broken hearted she was left
To her parents flee, she never could forget
All alone in a big empty house
Fragile and trapped, like a mouse.
Been years since she stepped outside
Hating the sun and breeze she lie
Overcoming her fear of meeting
Some friendly neighbours have her a warm greeting.
Confident and joyous she was now
Walking with her head held high and not a bow
Forgetting her past and dumping it aside
Looking in the mirror, the new her suddenly shines.
