Where would I be if I wasn’t here?
Drifting through the stillness of a warm summer night..
Lying afloat the current in a dark blue lagoon..
Or scaling the highest mountains,
Soaring to new heights?
Who would I be if I wasn’t me?
Teaching my young the rules of flight as they depart forever..
Sitting around the tribal fire,
Sharing legends of the past..
Or leaping forward while my fellows cheer me on,
Urging me to snatch gold?
How could I live if I couldn’t believe?
As the last ice cube melts,
And a flower takes time to bloom.
The clocks still ticking,
I believe in LIFE.
