Koalas are Australian mammals
That have a fluffy coat of grey
They are not very easy to see
But you could see one someday
They may not tend to move as much
As sleeping is what they do best
So if you ever see a Koala
Make sure you give it some rest
Koalas snuggle up close to branches
Of the Eucalyptus trees
So they can have a comfy sleep
And keep warm from any breeze
Koalas are born in a pouch
And once older they come outside
But until they are able to care for themselves
They climb on their mother's back for a ride
We are proud to have Koalas here
For their gentleness seems so kind
So next time look in some trees
For a Koala is who you may find.
