Let Me Be Free

A bird in a cage,
A night and his page.
Just let me be free,
Just let me be me.
A stale wind blows,
A and nobody knows,
That I am locked up,
Like tea in a cup.
One day I'll break loose,
Free of my noose.
The seasons will change -
I'll be rid of my cage.
The day draws near,
And gone is my fear.
There is a new day coming.
And it is almost here.
