Finalist in the 'Far Out 2012' competition
While the sun be the brightest
None bear look at it for fear of endless pain
For the moon holds but true beauty
Reflecting brilliance and brightness
All do adore the moon
For the moon alone is not harsh or painful
But a beacon of love, hope and true friendship
Guiding the scared through the night
Through the darkness her beauty shines
With the hope of the new day may come
Through the night her beauty stays
And to those lucky, into the days
Those stare with awe and wonder
But I know not but to adore
For my moon is endless and in both soul and beauty
And even when apart I know she will be watching me
