I watched the blood poor,
As Rocky lay by the door,
I thought it was sauce,
As we were eating chips of course,
It was pain,
With sadness,
Driving me to madness,
Rocky’s organs had collapsed,
He could not breathe a tortured gasp,
I was by his side,
And cried and cried,
The vet in town,
Had to put him down,
The hole in my heart was dark and deep,
But I know my Rocky in peace does sleep.
