War, Terrible war
Ships approach beautiful beaches,
Men ready, scared waiting on commands,
Bracing for death, blood, destruction.
Imagining happiness nor forever more,
Cradling precious, beloved memories,
Sickened of what lies ahead,
Closer, closer explosions will attain,
Boom! First bomb flys.
Shots passing killing men right by my side,
A miracle will only keep me alive.
