We live in a dry country,
The dusty barren land,
Cattle escape the heat,
All earth has turned to sand.
Yet all of our farmers,
The big and the small,
Carry on with their lives,
And try not to fall.
Because even though it is rough,
And they just want to cry,
They’ve got to be tough,
For their families nearby.
All we want is rain,
For it to fall,
Would help ease the pain,
And be the greatest joy of all.
