Upon the fringe of mottled dreams
a lapse of consciousness takes flight.
Silence upon parted lips,
a destined, foreboding plight.
Temptation weeps beside your ear,
bequeathed with broken sighs.
Ablaze and conquered by broken hearts,
entrapped by timeless cries.
Like tepid winters and frosty summers,
Your final judgment — commence.
Among howling fires and cherub lullabies,
You wait at your expense.
Revel in your fleeting past —
Cradled. Clasped. Hugged and torn,
Awake, you’ve forgotten, you find yourself.
At last — You are reborn.
