Old gum tree standing very tall
Casts his branches over all
Where ever I go
He will still be there
Standing very tall with his branches in the air
I feel very safe sitting in its shade
Sometimes I sit and drink lemonade
The wind sings a song as you sit there
Flowing in flowing out to who knows where
Cattle, dogs, birds and bees
Find comfort sitting among its soft lofty leaves
When ever I get home from school
This is a place where I will be cool.
Where ever I may go
Where ever I may be
I will always love that Old Gum Tree.
