We sleep

Imagined hopes
chime in discordant harmony,
a mellifluous cacophony

echoes in the silence, revealing
disjointed connections.

Each link forges peculiar parallels
through a filmy façade.

We wake

Simulated sounds silently shadow
wide windows to a waiting world,
awakening inspiration.

Motionless. Dawn darkness is
punctuated by lacklustre LED light.
