Ode To The Stars

Deep within dark, isolated space
Stars illuminate the pitch black night skies
In the midst of an endless, light less place
a glistening ball of sunshine lies,

From Earth, you are but a speck of light
But you are in fact a mighty, flaring ball of fire
guarding us with power and might
the universe is your empire,

Gazing into the infinite night sky, i look at the stars and wonder
what crazy adventures you have been through
what stories you have to tell i ponder
and though i know we will never meet oh supreme stars!
I stare and admire your beauty, as you cleanse my mortal scars
