Why is it ok that hungry children die when we flippantly refuse food that we work to buy?
Why is it ok that people walk thousands of metres, for much needed water, only to end up with a few litres?
Why is it ok that we complain, about school work and life sending us insane?
When people out there have been cut to the core, because their country is fighting a war
Why is it ok that kids are suffering from malnutrition because they have no money to spend on their position?
Why is it ok that there are kids on the street, because their parents have an addiction to beat?
Why do we get a nice warm home? With a couch, television, oven and a phone
When there are some out there, shivering on the street, breathing frost into the air, with blisters on their feet
Why do our leaders sit in their chairs? Talking of things about which nobody cares
When there are people out there who need to be compensated for the mistakes they have made because they are uneducated
Why do they want to protect our planet? When they haven’t yet solved the problems that are on it
Because they are guilty of a mistake that has the world in strife. It is the mistreating, and harm, of the invaluable human life
What these people really need is a burst of hope, for their lives to turn onto an uphill slope
It has to be you and me who teach them to believe, that, with help, their visions are not that hard to achieve
We people of the world must be united to the core, we need to fight for peace, not war
Everyone helping and contributing is a must, if we are to ever achieve a world that is just.
