With sorrow and grief, the mourners pass;
Friends, family and lovers, the Australian flag at half mast
Men signed their names, and had a checkup received their utilities, then played some two up.
Never forget the soldiers, carrying their heavy packs
Never forget the ANZACS; who never turned their backs,
They’re brave and strong, and young and free,
But they died as heroes, for you and for me,
The blood that was shed and the limbs that were lost,
Made this great country today; unfortunately, death was the cost
Never forget the soldiers; carrying their heavy packs,
Never forget the ANZACS; who never turned their backs.
