How is love supposed to speak when one can’t even choke out the words?
The green-eyed boy. Everything is bittersweet smiles, patronizing stares;
And clamors that could only ever be made by him.
His silence articulates louder than anything ever could;
His eyes say more than his mouth ever would.
The beauty of the quietness he graced wrapped around people like a blanket of silk,
Making them feel enticed by his introverted personality.
The words dance around him, never touching his tongue but always there for people to spectate.
He knew all the lines to say, he knew the part he was expected to play,
Yet he was fighting against himself, fighting against the little voice in his cognizance;
Of which was undoubtedly louder than what he could express.
The blue-eyed boy. He was the only one blessed enough to experience what no one else could.
The lenient kisses. The nearly inaudible -but heart melting nonetheless- laughter which filled his ears.
The silent declarations of love. He would never give it up for anything.
And at times, it was overwhelming. One sided relationships rarely ever worked out,
But for the two boys, silence was never a problem. For one and the other, being mute was now a way of life.
