Misfortune
As I walked down the dark, lonely back street.
I pondered what my life had come to,
I had felt success and dealt with defeat
To have only wasted it all on one mistake
All I wanted was a good time,
But unknowingly, I forgot what was really important.
I blew it all, trying to reach my prime,
That chance just crushed me, like a boot over an ant.
Now I try to find that new beginning,
Start fresh with a new life, just start over.
It was all because of that chance of winning,
Now I'm left here with nothing to go to, no-one to lean on.
Now that I am broke and left with nothing,
All that I want, is a true friend,
Someone that cares and someone who can help.
Hopefully soon it will come to an end.
How do I find this friend for my needs?
How do I ask them, do I go to my knees?
This will hopefully not take too long,
I wish I could end this, with a shake of a wand!
