Can't Find Any Glue!

The best friend was given to me at the age of three
Consumed my hours to tie one bow
Much more than a tree to me,
She sized me up, and always seemed to know
That though my energy was so little
I would bind myself to her side, in thick & thin
She is now ill, but still as bright as a skittle
I felt that Twiggy twisted in my veins; she was within…
Her hinges stared to groan in misery,
The colour in her leaves dwindles out of fashion, oh Twiggy I cried;
Without you I will feel so empty
Leaves in the wind making out the words I love you, all in the final hour before she died.
“Lighting struck” & Twiggy shattered, and my tears carried through,
My best friend & heart split in two
Ever since then I can’t seem to find any glue
To fasten Twiggy and my heart together can you?
