Kiss Me

Big city lights flashed in the background as I stood on the edge of railing, leaning dangerously over. My breaths were coming in raged puffs and my heart was going overdrive. A butterfly marathon was occurring in the pit of my stomach and I couldn’t help but smile. It was like my face would crack under the force of this immovable grin.
Holding onto the metal in front of me, I leant further over the edge and let a long shout of joy. I felt him move next to me and copy my actions. His brown eyes danced with excitement and his perfect hair waved in the wind. He looked like a male model, and most would argue that he is. My smile grew-if that was even possible-when I saw the pure pleasure in his eyes when he looked back at me.
He grabbed my wrist with his tattooed hand and tugged me closer, looking deep into my eyes.
“Sofia…” His hot breath hit my face, and I breathed in his intoxicating aroma.
He was a drug and I was addicted.
My small hands curled around his biceps, delving in the feel of his strong muscles beneath them. His own, larger pair of hands wrapped around my waist, making me sigh in contentment.
'I could stand here forever.' I thought as I stared into his chocolate eyes.
“Zane,” My voice was barely a whisper; it was a surprise that he had heard at all. He smiled down on me, making my knees weak a second time.
This boy was definitely something.
“Kiss me.” Those two words made my mouth dry and my eyes wide.
‘Kiss me.’ I repeated in my head. Two words I had waited to hear out of his mouth for so long.
When I didn’t reply instantly, he let go of me and took a step back. I frowned in his direction, already feeling cold without his embrace.
“Sorry…" He whispered bashfully. "I didn’t mean to rush you. It’s just, I thought…” I cut him off by placing my small finger to his perfect lips.
“Zane…” I breathed, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Shut up.” I placed my red lips to his in a passionate kiss that sent tingles down my spine and made Shakespeare shake in his boots. He didn’t react at first, surprised. But within a second he was kissing me back, wrapping his strong arms around my waist. Our lips moved as one, and I couldn’t help but feel this was how it was supposed to be-forever.
With an airy smile I pulled away, leaning my forehead against his.
“I really like you, Sofia.” He muttered, squeezing my waist with his calloused hands.
I grinned, squeezing him back. “I really like you, too, Zane.”
Love wasn’t in the picture yet. I had only met him this summer, and I’m almost certain that my parents wouldn’t approve. But, I was definitely falling for him, no matter how much it will hurt when I leave to go back home.
I felt him raise his large hand to my cheek, rubbing underneath my eye in a tender gesture.
"I don't want to say goodbye." He whispered, kissing the corner of my lips lingeringly. Tilting my head to capture the full effect of his chocolate eyes, I smiled softly.
"It’s not good-bye." I mumbled, raising my arms to curl around his neck. His face contorted with confusion as he stroked my dark hair out of my face.
I grinned, “It’s just the beginning.”
A similar grin overtook his face and grasping hold of my fingers, he kissed me until my knees gave out.
