Born only one day after me,
Friends we were always meant to be.
Going up through kindergarten learning 'cows go moo,'
I was glad I was with my Mary-Lou.
During school, I had terrible anger issues,
Causing blood noses and using up tissues.
Only one would pick up the pieces and get out the glue,
My very sweet friend, Mary-Lou.
Her eyes shone emerald green,
She was never vain and rarely mean.
Her hair looked as good as new,
After a while I wed my Mary-Lou.
One afternoon, she didn't come home,
She even took with her a comb.
None of the neighbours knew too,
Where to find my Mary-Lou.
The next afternoon she decided to come up the track,
Though with another man at her back.
And now my heart is black and blue,
Oh, why did I kill sweet Mary-Lou.
