The blood of forgotten men,
The twilight color of a dark night,
A poppy lay on the grave of one who fought,
The cry of one, who is lost in war,
The anger of one, who can live,
The shout of all, who have a choice,
The tears of the one, who bears the burden of living,
The tears of all, those few, who comprehend this place of death,
The darkness of all, who give the ultimate sacrifice for that field of blood,
The hand of one, who is gone,
The cold metal, the soldiers’ final gift,
The flight of the metal dart that is all soldiers nightmare,
Red can start or end a war
