Quiet Of The Night

Stars shine bright in the dark sky
Bats fly overhead with the wind at their feet
The moon glistens pale white over the gloom of the night
Crickets chirp endlessly in their underground burrows
But throughout that darkness something waits
To bring light to this land
To end the darkness shrouding the world
To bring happiness and joy to it’s people
But it will wait until it is time
Until it is time to rise above all else
But it will wait until that time
For now darkness has it’s turn
Everything will remain still until it is time
Time for the sun to rise
