Golden Wish

A warm wind rustled through the air,
Whispering secrets, long forgotten.
Reflections danced on the clear blue waters
Of the sunlit ocean.

Glowing lava clouds covered a pale canvas;
Golden towers and splendid cities
Merged into pillars of fog and cloud,
Continuing forever into the faded sky.

She turned and looked up to the sun;
Sparkles and glitter whirled in her eyes.
Visions of another time, another place
When life still held mysteries.

Her heart ached for loved ones;
How she wished they were here, now.
But alas, they were gone forever,
And the wailing wind echoed their last cries.

Her mind drifted farther away; she remembered,
A glowing memory danced in her eyes.
Her wistful heart made one golden wish,
For a land lost in in the realms of timeā€¦
