Teki The Cat

Teki [tea-key] was no ordinary cat,
She was not white nor ginger nor black,
She didn't lie asleep in the sun all day,
She didn't drink milk or have a real friend to play.

No, Teki was the deepest fern green,
And hid in the grass where she couldn't be seen,
Her favourite drink was milk less green tea,
Teki's best friend was a gust of wind, Stormy.

Teki and Stormy made yellow daisy chains,
And played chasey in the pouring rain.
They chewed on chocolate and chased the frogs,
They swam in the river and jumped on logs.

But Stormy, she could not hug,
Nor hold her up while stuck in mud.
Teki was sad but then saw a pair of pink eyes,
A purple cat appeared so Teki thought twice...
