An expression of thoughts,strung on lyrics,
Sung for joy or sadness and pain.
Listen to pass the time or evoke emotion.
Can be the song of an angel or as dark as night.
It surrounds you as the melody changes,
The beat fastens, the lyrics hasten.
The final change, a lengthened pause,
the beat returns louder and louder.
Final words sung in struggled passion, the melody strengthens before it collapses.
A final word, a final note lingers in the air,
the hum of the music continues....
Its presence still there.
