Empty Truth

I see you there infront of me;
Your face, your hands, your heart.
I hear you talk, I hear tell;
Your hopes, your dreams, your lies.
We once walked a bright trail,
together hand-in-hand,
Then the darkness came and you had left
And now alone I am.
My life is cold and the woods are gone.
The night is drawing near,
But you have gone away from me.
Your shining light is dimmed.
Death is an empty truth,
Dark night, cold room, alone.
And no one can redeem your fate,
sweet light, safe knight, your gone.
