You'll Never Know

I’m writing this song for you, but you’ll never hear a word.
The words are hard to come by, but knowing they’ll never be heard,
I take a deep breath, and let all the pain go.
Cause you’ll never know,
That as I cry a thousand tears over you, the pain digs deeper.
And as I write a thousand words I can never say, my heart grows weaker.
When I see you staring at her from across the room, my eyes burn with the tears.
Oh tell me, why can’t someone just come and take away my fears?
So that I can tell you all these things, but you’ll never know.
You’ll never know that I love you.
Baby, I know I’m not the prettiest girl out there.
I know I have my flaws, but don’t we all?
I don’t bother with my clothes, or messing with my hair.
Just look a little deeper, maybe you might see,
See the me that you’ve been missing.
But you’ll never know.
It’s so hard to act like you’re just another guy.
When really, in the end you make me ask why?
Why do I care?
So, I just wipe away the tears you’ll never see.
Delete those pictures of you and me.
Rub away the words you’ll never read.
Cover up the scars that I made bleed.
Put in my music when you’re talking to her,
if I can here you, turn it up louder.
You’ll never know what you mean to me.
And you’ll never understand how that hurts, baby
As I cry a thousand tears over you, the pain digs deeper.
I love you.
