Lest we forget,
Men who died on foreign land.
Lest we forget,
The soldiers we lost on Turkish sand.
Lest we forget,
The shooting down of teenager years,
Lest we forget,
The women who shed countless tears.
Lest we forget,
They fought for the death of one man.
Lest we forget,
Despite this they fought hand in hand.
Lest we forget,
They gave it their best for us to live.
Lest we forget,
Was nothing more that they could give.
Lest we forget,
A hundred years ago we saw.
Lest we forget,
This country entered the First World War.
Lest we forget,
The wives who had such abundant love.
Lest we forget,
All the prayers sent up above.
Lest we forget,
All the people who suffered back then.
Lest we forget,
The children, women and especially the men.
Lest we forget,
The sites they did see.
Lest we forget,
The ones who died in Gallipoli.
Lest we forget,
The country is now ours to stay.
Lest we forget,
Because of the lives that were given away...
