Gold and gold the poster said in large font and bold.

Gold has been found deep in the Australia,
also found in California.

Some people struck gold and became very wealthy,
most found nothings and left not even healthy.

Of course good things have to come to an end,
but there will definitely be gold around the next bend.

To dig for gold, you needed a licence

They asked two pounds a month.

After a while the diggers got mad

And when they did not find gold they became extremely sad.
