When I think about everything that grows,
Held in perfection but for a small moment;
A beautiful garden’s true beauty shows,
Wherein people must favorably comment.
When I think about how our age must increase
And the years most steadily, readily float by;
Youthful behavior must sadly, unhappily decrease,
Life’s responsibilities necessarily intensify.
Time is my enemy, yet time is my friend,
The World’s amazing mysteries are mine to behold,
The wonder of nature’s hidden secrets never end;
Miniature or massive, their enigmas slowly unfold.
And evermore life’s journey continues,
In gardens and hearts and all types of venues.
