Dangling from a strong line
Hurtled through the air
Past hundreds and thousands of sea gulls
My owner just doesn’t care
Dragged through the reeds
Past endless schools of fish
Towards an unsuspecting squid
That soon could be a dish
I’m thrown around continually
He must have seen the squid
He thinks he’s won the lotto
Not a couple of quid
Right then and there
Finally, I did my job
I hope my master likes to share
‘Cos I caught it fair in the gob
